Correct and Repair 


Incorrect : I repaired the mistakes in her essay. 


Correct : I corrected the mistakes in her essay.


Incorrect : They are correcting the road. 


Correct : They are repairing the road.


Incorrect: I got my old shoes corrected. 


Correct ; I got my old shoes repaired/mended.


Note: "To correct " is to make wrong things right, "To repair" or "mend" is to put a damaged thing in good condition.
