Died and Dead
Incorrect : His grandfather is died.
Correct : His grandfather has died. Or His grandfather is dead.
Incorrect : It is a died cat.
Correct : It is a dead cat.
Note: Dead is an adjective, whereas died is the past and past participle form of “die”. It cannot be used as an adjective.
