Study and Read


Incorrect : Read French before you go to France.


Correct : Study French before you go to France.


Incorrect : He is studying a newspaper. 


Correct : He is reading a newspaper.


Note: “To study' is to try to learn and implies some effort. But “to read' does not imply such effort.
