Common errors in English: Usage of Know and Learn

Incorrect . He comes here to know English. 


Correct : He comes here to learn English.


Incorrect : She learns how to swim. 


Correct : She knows how to swim.


“Know' is used when “learning' is finished. For example, "He knows English’ suggests that he has learnt English.
