Common errors in English: Usage of So and Such

So and Such


Incorrect : He is such weak that he cannot walk.


Correct : He is so weak that he cannot walk.


Incorrect : I have never seen so large a cat before. 


Correct : I have never seen such a large cat before.


Note: “So” is an adverb which can modify an adjective or another adverb. But “such' is an adjective which can modify only a noun.
