Eatable and Edible
Incorrect : This meat is too hard; it is not edible.
Correct : This meat is too hard; it is not eatable.
Incorrect : These fruits are eatable but those are poisonous.
Correct: These fruits are edible but those are poisonous.
Note: Edible things are those that can be used as food, whereas eatable means 'in a condition to be eaten.” Any edible thing cannot be eatable. For example, if any food is too hot, it is not eatable.
