Common errors in English: Usage of Loose and Lose

Loose and Lose


Incorrect : Be careful not to loose your money. 


Correct : Be careful not to lose your money.


Incorrect : One of his teeth is lose. 


Correct : One of his teeth is loose.


Note : Lose (with a single "o") is a verb meaning "no longer have something as a result of carelessness or accident and then not to be able to find it'. But loose (with double 'o') is an adjective meaning "not firmly fixed'.
