Common errors in English: Usage of Clear and Clean

Clear and Clean


Incorrect Keep your hands clear. 


Correct: Keep your hands clean.


Incorrect : The sky is clean. 


Correct : The sky is clear.


Note: “Clean" means "not dirty". "Clear’ means transparent or unclouded.
