Right contractions
Incorrect : He did’nt go there.
Correct :He didn't go there.
Incorrect : She has’nt done the work.
Correct : She hasn’t done the work.
Incorrect : These books are’nt very good.
Correct : These books aren't very good.
Note: In a contracted word, the apostrophe is used in the place of an omitted letter. The word “not” is contracted into “n't' and joined to the end of a short word. Contractions are used in conversation only. Students are advised not to use contractions in their composition. “Shan’t”, “won't”, "can't” etc. are examples of irregular contractions.
