Common errors in English: Usage of On, At and In (Time)

 On, At and In (Time)


Incorrect : I flew to London at/in Thursday. 


Correct: I flew to London on Thursday.


Incorrect : He usually goes to bed on/in 11 o'clock. 


Correct : He usually goes to bed at 11 o'clock. 


Incorrect : Alan was born at/on February. 


Correct : Alan was born in February. 


Note: "On' is used before the days of the week or month : on Sunday, on 9 February, on the Eid day etc. “At' is used with the exact clock time : at 2 o'clock, at Sunset, at midnight etc. And “in” is used with a period of time: in February, in winter, in 1999, in the morning etc.
