Common errors in English: Usage of After and According to

 After and According to 


Incorrect : The boy was named according to his uncle. 


Correct : The boy was named after his uncle.


Incorrect : After Justin, Mr. Alan is a very good teacher. 


Correct : According to Justin, Mr. Justin is a very good teacher. Or In Justin opinion/view, Mr. Alan is a very good teacher.


Note: “After” here means 'with the name of’ whereas “according to’ means "as stated by’. “According to' is not used with words like opinion or view. You cannot say 'according to my opinion/view’.
