Common errors in English: Usage of Worth and Worthy (Different Between Worth and Worthy)

 Worth and Worthy


Incorrect : This pen worths fifty taka. 


Correct : This pen is worth fifty taka.


Incorrect: This book is worth of admiration. 


Correct : This book is worthy of admiration.


Note: Worth can be used as a preposition or noun but not as a verb. Worthy is an adjective. You can say:


I know the worth of his friendship. (noun)
