Common errors in English: Usage of Some and Any

Some and Any


Incorrect : I have any question to ask you. 


Correct : I have Some questions to ask you.


Incorrect : Do you have some questions? 


Correct : Do you have any question/s?


Incorrect : I do not have some questions.


Correct : I do not have any question/s. Or I have no question/s.


Note: Any is used in interrogative and negative sentences and some is usually used in affirmative sentences. Some can be used in a question when you ask for anything. You can say:


Will you give me some money?
