Common errors in English: Usage of Scene and Scenery

 Scene and Scenery


Incorrect : I enjoyed the scenery of children playing in the park. 


Correct : I enjoyed the scene of children playing in the park.


Incorrect : The scene of that place was very beautiful. 


Correct : The scenery of that place was very beautiful.


Note: A scene may include people and their movement. It is a countable noun. But scenery is an uncountable noun which refers to the general appearance of part of the country from the point of view of beauty.
