Less and Fewer
Incorrect: You have less books than I have.
Correct : You have fewer books than I have.
Incorrect . He gave me fewer than one hundred taka.
Correct . He gave me less than one hundred taka.
Note : "Fewer', like 'few', is used before plural countable nouns and denotes number. But ‘less' denotes amount, quantity, value or degree.
