Incorrect : What make of toothpaste do you use?
Correct : What brand of toothpaste do you use?
Incorrect : What brand of computer is it?
Correct : What make of computer is it?
Note: Brand and make can have similar meanings, but brand is usually used with small or cheap things, whereas make is used of big and expensive things.
