Common errors in English: Usage of “Consider' is not followed by “as”

 “Consider' is not followed by “as”


Incorrect : I consider it as a great honor. 


Correct: I consider it a great honor. 


Incorrect: He considers me as his best friend.


Correct : He considers me his best friend.

Note: The word "consider' is not followed by "as'. But you should say:


He regards me as his best friend.
