The use of “only”
Incorrect : Alan saw the tiger only.
Correct : Only Alan saw the tiger. Or Alan only saw the tiger. Or Alan saw only the tiger.
Note: In writing, put “only” in front of the word which it is about. "Only Alan saw the tiger” means that no one else saw it. "Alan only saw the tiger” means that he did not shoot it or did not do anything else. And "Alan saw only the tiger' means that he did not see anything else. In speech, "only' is usually put before the verb, and the way the sentence is said makes it clear what is means. In formal language "Only” may come at the beginning of a sentence and then the normal word Order changes. For example:
Only in Bangladesh can you see such a scene.
