Common errors in English: Usage of Shall and will

 Shall and will


To express resolution or personal determination:


Incorrect : I have determined that I shall go. 


Correct : I have determined that I will go.


Incorrect : You will leave this place at once. 


Correct : You shall leave this place at once.


Incorrect: My mind is made up; he will go. 


Correct : My mind is made up; he shall go.


Note: “Will” in the first person denotes resolution or personal determination, and "shall" in the Second and third persons denotes a command or a threat.
