Name of a meal
Incorrect : We shall start after the breakfast.
Correct : We shall start after breakfast.
Incorrect : I shall take a rest after the lunch/dinner/supper.
Correct : I shall take a rest after lunch/ dinner/supper.
Note: Names of the meals are not usually preceded by "the". But when we refer to a particular meal, we can use “the” before it. For example:
The lunch we had today was very delicious.
