Common errors in English: Usage of Thin and Narrow

 Thin and Narrow


Incorrect : The man is very narrow. 


Correct : The man is very thin.


Incorrect : The road is thin. 


Correct : The road is narrow.


Note: A thin person is he/she who has little or no fat on his/her body. Thin can be used for things but not for flat surfaces. You should use narrow for flat surfaces.
