Common errors in English: Usage of Should and Would

Should and Would


Incorrect: I should be happy if you came. 


Correct : I would be happy if you came.


Incorrect: I should like to make you a request. 


Correct : I Would like to make you a request.


Note: In the sentences above, 'should’ is rather old-fashioned and not usually used in modern English.
