Common errors in English: Usage of Chance and Opportunity

Chance and Opportunity

Both chance and opportunity can mean “a time suitable for doing something you want to do.” You can say:

I’ll have a chance/opportunity to visit the zoo.

But-

Incorrect : There's an opportunity that I'll see her.

Correct : There's a chance that I'll see her.

Note: When you talk about possibility, you cannot use opportunity in place of chance.
