Common errors in English: Usage of “Though” not followed by get/still

“Though” not followed by get/still


Incorrect : Though he is rich, yet he is unhappy. 


Correct : Though he is rich, he is unhappy.


Incorrect : Although it is raining, still I must go now. 


Correct : Although it is raining, I must go now.


Note: "Though' and "Although' are two interchangeable conjunctions introducing a subordinate adverbial clause of concession. No second conjunction ("yet” or "still) is therefore required in the sentence.
