Common errors in English: Usage of Adjectives having no degree

 Adjectives having no degree


Incorrect : My work is more perfect than his. 


Correct : My work is superior to his. Or My work is better than his.


Incorrect : This is the most impossible task in the world. 


Correct: This task is quite impossible.


Note: There are adjectives like perfect, unique, impossible, worthless, whose meaning already contains the idea of an absolute degree. They are not usually used in comparative and superlative forms.
