Refuse and Deny
Incorrect : The girl denied to go out with me.
Correct : The girl refused to go out with me.
Incorrect : The minister refused the allegations.
Correct : The minister denied the allegations.
Incorrect : He refuses that he met her.
Correct : He denies that he met her.
Note : "Deny' means "to declare untrue' or “refuse to accept as a fact', whereas 'refuse' means "to say no to a proposal or offer."
