Common errors in English: Usage Of Dispose of Something.

 Dispose of something


Incorrect : The murderer could not dispose the body.


Correct: The murderer could not dispose of the body.


Note: Only "dispose' means "arrange'. For Example:


He disposed his books on the table. 


But "dispose of” is a phrasal verb which means “to get rid of or destroy'. In this sense, the preposition is a must.
