 Wear and Put on


Incorrect : Wear your clothes quickly. 


Correct : Put on your clothes quickly.


Incorrect : She always puts on black shoes. 


Correct : She always wears black shoes. 


Note: "Wear” means to have anything upon the body and is usually used to describe someone's habits or appearance. "Put on" means the act of covering the body (or part of the body) with clothes or anything. You can say:


He put on his glasses to read the letter.
