Common errors in English: Usage of Than, From and To

 Than, From and To


Incorrect : She is taller from me. 


Correct : She is taller than me.


Incorrect : He is senior/junior than you. 


Correct : He is senior/junior to you.


Note: In comparison, the usual preposition is "than" but some adjectives like Senior, junior. Superior, inferior are always followed by “to'. The adjective "different' is mostly followed by “from'. For example:


My pen is different from yours. 


But you can also say:


My pen is different to yours. (British English)

My pen is different than yours. (American English)
