Common errors in English: usage of Repent for.

Repent (= to feel sorry for any bad action)

Incorrect : He repented for his wickedness. 

Correct . He repented of his wickedness.

Note: The noun ‘repentance’ and adjective ‘repentant’ are followed by ‘for’. 

For example:

She has no repentance for her sin. 
She felt repentant for her sin.
