Common errors in English: usage of similar with/in.

Incorrect . This dress is similar with that. 

Correct . This dress is similar to that.

Note: The noun form ‘similarity’ may take ‘to’ or ‘between’ after it. 

Incorrect : There is a lot of similarity in the two poems. 

Correct . There is a lot of similarity between the two poems.

Incorrect: His poetry has similarity with yours. 

Correct : His poetry has similarity to yours.
