Common errors in English: Usage of Modal and Bare infinitive

Modal and Bare infinitive 


To express probable future in the first conditional:


Incorrect : If it rains tomorrow, I shall not to go to college.


Correct : If it rains tomorrow, I shall not go to college.


Note: In the first conditional, the modals shall, will, can, may, must etc. are used and they are followed by a simple bare infinitive.
